What you are doing is not easy. Motherhood cannot be packaged into a flawless system that you can perfectly control. It can, however, become a place where you allow the Holy Spirit to lead.

We do not always do it knowingly, but we can still choose it willingly. We exchange our call to serve those entrusted to us, disciple our children, and help them grow for the pursuit of becoming great and acquiring more. It may not be intentional, but it is a very real threat to the things God has called us to do, build, and nurture.

Years ago, I judged another mother for arriving late to preschool with her twins. I did not know the weight she was carrying. Then, one morning at my own child’s school door, God allowed me to experience the grace I had once struggled to give.
